WonHundred Word Wednesday: Nothing left

Hey readers! Here's another make-up post. Check it out!

The prompt: There was nothing left of the money except

My story:



Scott pushed harder on the accelerator, swerving to avoid another car. If only he’d cracked the code earlier, he wouldn’t have to rush like this.

He muttered aloud to himself as he furiously drove, “If she gets there again first, so help me…”

Finally he reached the train station. He sprinted to the locker indicated in the decoded message and entered the combination with sweaty palms.

“Yes!” he cried. The bag was still inside.

His relief dissolved as he opened it. There was nothing left of the money except one bill. One bill with bright red lips kissed onto it.
